Ready to Quilt ???
I think I am as ready as I’ll ever be and as I ever have been to start a Quilt-a-long. I’m getting excited that it is only a week away !! I’m itching to start making the blocks – especially now that I have opened the packages of beautiful fat quarters that arrived a couple of weeks ago !!
Above are a gorgeous combination of 1930s fabrics, Ella Blue Basics, Lakehouse, Emma Jean Jansen’s Terra Australis and Kona cotton solids – OMG !! I am in LOVE !!!
This is the Gnome Angel’s Fat Quarter Bundle put together specifically for the Farmers Wife 1930s Quilt Along – and it is divine !! Look at all those colours – just sooooo Pretty and Amazing !! They are a combination of Ella Blue Basics, Lakehouse, Terra Australis by Emma Jean Jansen and a few of Rosalie Quilan’s designs as well !! Aren’t we Aussie’s so clever !!! Together these fabrics are as pretty as a rainbow !!
Then I combined my own 1930s stash with them !!
I’m so pleased they all work together !! My mind is working over time now at the fabric combinations possible !! Ahh ! It is going to be hard to hold on this week and not to start – but thankfully it is school holidays and all the kids are home to distract me !!
Then I opened Rita Hodge’s (aka Red Pepper Quilts) Kona Cotton Fat Quarter Selection !!
Yay !! The solids also work !!
I am Ready to Quilt !!! Yay !!
I have even cleaned out a drawer next to my sewing machine, specifically for the Quilt-a long – so I know exactly what I have and where !! (Just ignore the Give Way stickers my 4 year old has put on the chest of drawers – apparently they were too white and boring lol !!)
They even fit perfectly into the drawer !! OMG I can’t believe how organised I am for this one !!
One more week everyone !!
See you there.
Leanne xx
Gorgeous fabrics, such vibrant colour. You are indeed super organised, well done 🙂 I haven’t even decided for sure what fabrics I’m going to use.
Thanks Hope ! I’ll look forward to seeing your fab fabric choices !
